FUN FACTS
- Harlequins used to be shown in the eight individual color varieties (Black jap, blue jap, black
mag,  etc) before competing for best and best opposite of group (all the japs, all the mags).
Currently all the varieties are shown together in their groups.
- The Harlequin is the only non-broken breed or variety which allows mismatched toenails.
- The Harlequin breed is the only breed recognized by the ARBA allowing the Harlequin
pattern.  Some breeds do allow Tricolors, the broken version of the Harlequin.
- Overseas there are numerous breeds which allow Harlequin coloring as a variety.  Breeders
of the Harlequin pattern are considered to be the pinnacle of rabbit breeders, as they are
willing to take on the challenges of raising that variety.
